I Hate Shaws/Star Market
Have anyone else noticed that the food that they buy from Star/Shaws market here in Cambridge, particularly the near-MIT-Shaws, spoils within a few hours of purchase? If it is meat, it is rotten before you make it home, if it is “fresh” produce (Fig 1), then it will spoil and be rendered inedible the same day. Not that it looks good on the shelf to begin with, because it doesn’t, but what little to be had there is just spoils upon purchase. It’s almost like they buy aftermarket food, from the bottom of the bin, and then hike the price up, running away with the difference, almost poisoning consumers.
